Classical and Suzuki-informed strings
Careful posture, a bow arm that produces real tone, and intonation you can trust. Private violin lessons for young beginners, school orchestra students, and adult learners.

Violin is unforgiving early and generous later. The first months are about setup, because posture and bow hold decide how everything after them sounds. Once the foundation holds, students move quickly into position work and real repertoire.

Violin is one of the few instruments a four or five year old can genuinely start, because fractional sizes go down to 1/16. Young starts work best with a parent who sits in and helps with home practice.
School orchestra students make up a large part of our string studio, usually coming in for intonation, shifting, or audition preparation. Adults are welcome and often progress faster than they expect, since they can self-diagnose.
Kathy Finn brings classical depth and theory fluency to string players at every level. Joe Corporon is a multi-instrumentalist who makes strings approachable for beginners of any age. Yvonne Bennetti focuses on musicianship, tone, and fundamentals that hold up years later.

Violin lessons are private and weekly. We help families size and rent an instrument before the first lesson, since a violin that is too large will slow a student down more than anything else. Rosin, a shoulder rest, and a tuner round out the kit.
Best for younger beginners and anyone building a first practice habit. Enough time for warm-ups, one concept, and a piece.
Our most popular length. Room for technique, theory, repertoire, and a few minutes to work through whatever came up during the week.
For advancing students, audition and recital prep, and adults who want to go deep in a single sitting.
Lessons are weekly, one-on-one, and scheduled at the same time each week. For current tuition rates and open times, call (386) 256-5847 or send us an enrollment request.
We teach at our South Nova Road studio in Ormond Beach, which serves string families from Ormond-by-the-Sea down through Port Orange. Students searching from the south can start with our music lessons in Daytona Beach page for a full look at programs, ensembles, and scheduling.
