Why families choose us

A studio built for real progress.

01

Patient first-instrument teachers

We help families choose the right first instrument, and we're honest when a student is ready to switch or grow.

02

Small, measurable goals

Kids leave each lesson with one clear practice plan. Progress is visible in weeks, not years.

03

Recitals that feel like home

Two low-pressure recitals a year, plus classroom performances kids get genuinely excited about.

Inside the studio

What a kid's first month looks like

Kids do best when the room feels familiar and the wins come quickly. Here's how we shape the first four lessons.

  1. 01

    Week 1: Meet the teacher

A relaxed intro. The teacher hears where your child is, plays for them, and lets your child try something small they can do.

  2. 02

    Week 2: First real piece

A short, playable song. By the end of the lesson your child plays it start to finish and takes it home to show family.

  3. 03

    Week 3: Add a skill

One new technique, reading a note, a chord shape, a rhythm, introduced in context, not drilled in isolation.

  4. 04

    Week 4: Play for someone

Your child performs their piece for the teacher or a parent, then sets a small goal for next week.

What our families say.

"Our 10yo son is taking weekly piano lessons with Cameron. He is doing great and really loving it. Cameron is a fantastically talented teacher who has somehow managed to get him hooked on piano in just 8 lessons. He gets up early every day and fills the house with scales, chords, arpeggios, and his weekly pieces."

, Jonathan Lynch

"My daughter Lillian (10 years old) started guitar lessons with Justin. She had zero experience. She LOVES it and is excelling! Justin is kind and extremely talented in teaching. She gets excited to go to lessons and comes out with a huge smile. Best studio around!"

, Antonia Schoembs

"Justin Knox is a very talented young man. He walked me through chords and reading music, as well as the details of the guitar. As an adult student, I was nervous about picking up an instrument but I am now pretty confident I can learn how to play the guitar."

Frequently asked

Good questions from Daytona families.

What's the youngest age you accept?
Five for piano and voice, six or seven for most other instruments. If you're not sure, tell us your child's age and we'll be honest about readiness.
How long should a young child's lesson be?
Thirty minutes is right for most kids under 10. As focus grows, families often move up to forty-five minutes.
How much should my child practice?
Ten to fifteen minutes most days beats an hour on Sunday. Your child's teacher will set a specific plan each week.
What if my child wants to try a different instrument?
We encourage switching when it's the right call. Sometimes the second instrument is where a student really lights up.
