Tek Winesberry

Tek Winesberry, who has a Doctorate degree in Piano Performance from the University of Iowa, has been teaching piano at Elite Academy of Music and Motion since 2021. In addition, he instructs in music theory as well as piano improvisation.

Throughout his career, his comprehensive piano achievements have comprised a diverse spectrum of artistic genres, including Composition, Dance Piano Accompanying (Ballet/Modern), Chamber Music, Choral Music Directing from the Piano, Research in the creation of a Piano Solo Transcription of Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 in E Minor (3rd and 4th Movements), and Piano Concert Performances in both Asia and the United States.

Mr. Winesberry’s main focus and goal for his students is to have them realize initially the overall fundamental musical architecture of any given score and interconnect the recurring musical patterns (e.g., rhythm, harmony, melody, dynamics, etc.) within it, so that they can eventually possess the confidence to perform at the piano fluently in any venture, be it sight-reading, public piano recitals, composing, and even improvising.
